I was born on April the 16th in 1976 in Bucharest where I still reside to this day. I’m proud to say that I’m a city girl through and through.
I showed musical affinities even as a little girl, it was me that brought harmony to our national hymn in the classroom. I also sang different and pioneering songs on school trip and in the choir.
At the age of “15” I starting taking music more seriously and began to study. I also took professional after school classes with the soloist and classic canto professor, Mrs Iasmina Stanescu who became and still is a very dear friend.
I have appeared in various television competition shows such as “PLOAIA DE STELE”, SURPRIZE SUPRIZE” MIRCEA BADEA SHOW” and “MUMU SHOW” .
I also performed on stage at “C-tin Tanase” Theatre, singing in the show “Café Paradiso” in which Actor Radu Gheorghe starred. I continued my study of music at the Popular Art School concentrating on Jazz improvisation, taking classes with well-known pianist and musician Mr.Marius Popp.
I soon after had the honour of meeting and becoming friends with Mrs. Anca Parghel a very well known singer and Jazz professor.
It was Anca who launched my career, getting me gigs in a varied mix of clubs on the Bucharest and Romanian club circuit such as, ART JAZZ, LA CINA, EVENT CLUB, CASA ELIAD, CLUB MONACO, CLUB SOCIETA.
Thanks to Anca’s encouragement and support I performed at the festival Europafest in 2006 and also the highlight of my career when I was lucky enough to represent Romania at the Jazz competition hosted in Finland in 2007 called, “Lady summertime”.
